Hi! I‘m Rick Kelly, a copywriter who has worked on advertising campaigns for companies such as Walmart, McDonald’s, Heineken, Sony, Nextel, Garmin, Chevrolet, U-Haul, Ralph Lauren, and LEGO. I am also a ghostwriter for novels on Amazon. You can check out my website @ Angel Noelle.com

With over twenty years as a copywriter, I’ve made a decent living, but I grew tired of crafting listicles about products and services. I realized I would always be just a copywriter in an industry I wanted to leave behind to pursue my true passion: novel writing.

So, at the peak of my career as the head copywriter for one of New York’s leading digital advertising agencies, I understood that my aspirations lay elsewhere. Consequently, I left my advertising job to become a novelist.

However, this proved to be more challenging than I had anticipated. I had no prior experience writing a novel, and the initial outcomes reflected that struggle. Leaning on my savings, I would take my laptop to the main library on 42nd Street to write. Despite my discouragement, I repeatedly returned to the Rose Main Reading Room, dreaming of the day I would publish my book.

The cloud murals adorning the ceiling inspired me, prompting thoughts of writing an inspirational book. But what would be my focus? As I drew closer to the reality of becoming a starving writer, I figured there might be some inspiration in that experience. One day, while gazing up at the ceiling clouds, I pondered what could inspire me or anyone else.

I imagined angels in the clouds but realized there weren’t any.  Why not? Wouldn’t angels be a source of comfort for those whose lives are fading away? That’s when I conceived the idea of an angel who couldn’t aid others because they couldn’t help themselves, much like my own situation. That’s when Angel Noelle came to life.
